I paint, melding an abstract and ethereal Japanese patina with brazen colours that speak of freedom, optimism and the need to reconcile the self with a life that continues to explore cultural synergies and differences.
Having lived in New York and Tokyo for more than 20 years prior to Sydney, art allows me to express myself across cultures.

Educated at Boston University and Parsons School of Design in New York, I also have vast experience as a Product/Design Coordinator in the fashion world. Liaising between Japanese production teams, US sales departments, major US retailers and Japanese export divisions, I sought designs and accessories for the Japanese market, in addition to nurturing new talent and introducing cutting-edge 'new' Japanese designers to the New York market.
I also facilitated educational exchanges among New York and Tokyo artists.
In addition, have worked with prêt-a-porter designers including Gaultier, Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs; as well as on an ad-hoc basis for Yoko Ono.
